About JP
JP (Jan Pieter) is a Dutch composer and sound designer working across film, documentaries, podcasts and other storytelling media. His music moves between orchestral textures and contemporary sound design, always in service of the story.
As co-owner of Audiochef in Hilversum, he combines composition, sound design and post-production under one roof. He works closely with directors and producers from early in the process, so the music develops alongside the story.
His work includes the score for Grenzeloos Verraad (nominated by Buma/Stemra), the audio identity for the Dutch government, and theme music for various public broadcasters, including Man Bijt Hond (KRO-NCRV). He has also collaborates with director Dennis Bots, known for his acclaimed Dutch family films.
